After a number of COVID-related delays, the Illumine project was fortunate to be able to hold a face-to-face kick-off meeting. The meeting was hosted by Universitat Pompeu Fabra at their campus in Poblenou, Barcelona.
Partners from Estonia (TLU), Portugal (Kokoro Association), Spain (Escola Pia Sarria), and Serbia (ArchiPlay DOO) joined the meeting in-person. The University of Belgrade participated virtually. The two-day hybrid meeting was the first chance for the consortium to meet in-person and really get to know each other.
Partners enjoyed working together to define how the online technology and teacher professionals development workshops could be integrated. Partners also collaborated on the initial sections of the handbook on learning strategies to be written for educators. All partners have been running a series of workshops with local schools – and shared what had been working well and what needs improvement. Improvements that are to be made for both the remaining workshops in this school year and for future iterations of the professional development programme.
